Radiation

This is just a quick post today since there isn't too much to update. Mike started radiation yesterday and although it was a bit painful because they had him in an awkward position on a hard table the procedure itself wasn't painful at all. He has already been this morning for his second treatment and now that he knew better what to expect he was able to climb up on the table and get comfortable without having too much pain. He also made sure to take his pain meds about 30 minutes beforehand to help with the pain of moving around and that did the trick. So he has made it through 2 out of 10 treatments which is 20%! They say each day they are giving him a little larger dose so although he is not sick quite yet we're still waiting to see how his body will react. We pray for a miracle and that the tumor magically melts away but at the very least are hopeful that the tumor will shrink enough to get rid of the awful pressure he feels in his pelvis.

We have heard from so many of you that Mike and my family are on your prayer lists and we appreciate all the love and support, we have a long road ahead of us that I don't think anyone can fully comprehend right now. Knowing that all of you are there to help us through this definitely provides us comfort at a time when that isn't easy to find. Thank you!

  3. I'm so sorry to hear about your family's struggles. My dad has cancer in his spine, and it is a hard thing to handle. Please know that I will be keeping your little family in my prayers.
