There's no place like HOME!

Mike made it back home from the hospital this past Wednesday around 10pm! We were so happy to see him but of course he was very tired and so were we. He did manage did make it straight to take a long nice soaking bath, and then we went straight to bed. He seems to be transitioning pretty well although he seems overwhelmed at times so we're keeping things simple. He gets winded very easily since he has basically been strapped to a bed for the past month! The positive side of that is that over just two days it has gotten tremendously better. I know he will continue to gain strength everyday that goes by! Here are some pictures from the past couple of days. My Mom has been here helping and she has been a lifesaver! I would also like to thank Mike's Dad Scott who spent a week and a half with Mike in the hospital and then drove him all the way home so I could go back to work and take care of sweet Audrey! Our next adventure is Tuesday when Mike goes back to Chapel Hill (as an outpatient this time) for another round of chemo. He's a bit nervous that his progress is going to be lost after this so we're hoping he does as well as he did with the first round!

I'm not sure this is the intended use for the Boppy pillow :-)
